With his successful broadcasting career, it's no wonder why
he was recently awarded a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and
why he was voted as one of People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful,” as well as one
of their 2005 “Most Eligible Bachelors.” With Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP)
becoming a known entity producing and hosting multiple television and radio
specials, his many restaurant investments, as well as the launch of the R
Line, Seacrest is redefining what it means to be an entrepreneur and a
triple threat in Hollywood.
Seacrest's latest development in his booming career came when he recently signed
onto a long term deal to executive produce and join Dick Clark co-hosting the 34
th edition of “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve,” live from Times Square in
New York on December 31st airing on the ABC Television Network. Seacrest will
move over to ABC in a multi-year deal to occupy the co-host post and eventually
take over as sole host when Dick decides to step down. The show traditionally
out-rates all of the other network competitive programming combined and for many
years has been the highest rated entertainment program for the entire week
surrounding New Year's.
Seacrest has just begun his fifth season as host of FOX 's #1 hit show,
"American Idol." Last year he helped FOX enjoy its highest ratings share for the
fourth season in a row. Seacrest has single-handedly changed the face of
"American Idol" making him a household name. With "American Idol," his radio
shows On Air with Ryan Seacrest and American Top 40, as well as his many
specials and award shows throughout the year, he is able to reach millions of
American eyes and ears.
