Paul Gilmartin’s impression of ultra-conservative congressman
“Richard Martin” in Ask A Republican pokes fun at the blind optimism, misguided
patriotism and ultimate hypocrisy of contemporary politicians. Former CEO of
“Ohio Petroleum and Synthetics” Congressman Martin, “spreads hope to suburban
couples having a hard time financing a second home.” Biting, outrageous, and
hysterically dead-on, this comedic portrayal is political satire at its best.
(An extremely popular live question and answer forum follows Representative
Martin’s speech.)
Paul has been a guest on Politically Incorrect with
Bill Maher, a
writer for Dennis Miller and is currently the host of Dinner and a Movie on TBS.
As a stand-up comedian, Paul has dozens of television appearances, including
NBC's Late Friday, CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and his own
half-hour Comedy Central Presents: Paul Gilmartin. He has performed as a
stand-up and a sketch actor at the Montreal Comedy Festival and three times at
the Aspen Comedy festival.
