Rick Thomas is a premier illusionist having completed five world tours covering over 50 countries. High honors include the coveted "Magician of the Year" by the Academy of Magical Arts and "Stage Magician of the Year" by the World Magic Awards. He also received "Illusionist of the Year" 2004 by the Theater Excellence Awards. Thomas has performed for 10 years in his own show in Las Vegas and currently stars at the Orleans Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Thomas has been featured on numerous/ national television specials including the NBC specials "The World's Greatest Magic" and his own special on ABC that aired throughout Asia.

Thomas' theatrical background includes ballroom dancing, a fact that accounts for the graceful movements of this tall (6'4") magician on stage. At the tender age of five, Thomas, whose family was already active in the ballroom dancing arena, began teaming with his sister, Tamara, in ballroom dance competitions. Their natural abilities, along with hard work, earned them the title of Amateur United States Ballroom Dancing Champions while in their teens. Rick realizes now that trophies were not his only reward for his many years of competitive dance. The lessons he learned, such as dedication, practice, perseverance, winning and losing would later help him in his pursuit of success as an entertainer. Thomas embarked on his magic career at the age of 7, not long after seeing a magic performance. From that time on, Thomas applied the incredible work ethic he established during his dance career to his new calling: MAGIC!
Thomas carries with him other great accomplishments including producing and designing magic productions for some of the largest corporations in the world. His talents are utilized in promoting product and entertaining buyers and dealers at shows and conventions the world over. It was during his ballroom dancing competition travels that he first saw the Tropicana Resort & Casino and vowed to one day perform at the hotel. Not only did Thomas headline at the Tropicana for 7 years, he continues his success at the Stardust Resort and Casino and is now the most successful afternoon show in the history of Las Vegas.
Making his home theater in Las Vegas obviously has made Thomas a local resident. He resides in the northwest area of town with his wife Kimberly, daughter Miranda, and son Brandon. Beyond the array of magical effects, Rick Thomas possesses an engaging persona and is an exciting, versatile professional entertainer. Without a doubt, Rick Thomas loves the live theater and intends to pursue a lifetime of entertainment.
