 While watching Angelica perform and display the strength and
stamina that can be seen in some world-renowned singers, one could very easily
and firmly say that she is a one-of-a-kind performer. One might wonder: how can
she allow herself to be taken over by her passion in such a strong, obvious way?
How does she get herself to a point of emanating through every breath she takes,
through every sound and gesture she makes, so much power, confidence, strength
and vulnerability, but mostly, so much love for what she does?
This is Angelica, a singer, songwriter and author, writing with a clear vision
and a remarkable steady desire to let the world know her message: “Discover who
you are and act upon it.” Angelica’s roots lie on the shores of the Blue Danube
in Romania. Her stage experience started when she was only six years old and was
accepted in one of the country’s most prestigious schools for the arts. For ten
years she studied the arts of singing and ballet. At 19 she won a national
televised singing competition that made her known throughout the country as one
of the most talented rising stars of the time. After living in the limelight for
many years, performing live in more than 1,500 shows across Europe, Angelica
faced a dramatic change in her life. She consciously gave up her career, and
with a heart filled with hope for a better life, she embarked on a challenging
process: immigration to a foreign country.
Not knowing the language and having to work in challenging jobs to earn a living
made Angelica’s first years in Canada quite unsettling. But her inner strength
kept her tall. She went to school and got a college diploma in Fitness
Leadership, while diligently working toward rebuilding her career. Two years ago
she represented Canada at the second largest music festival in Europe, The
Golden Stag. The audience who once knew Angelica was astonished at her
electrifying performance. “Angelica sang like Mariah Carey on her best days”
newspaper articles headlined.
Today, 12 years later, Angelica looks back: “I would have never become the
performer, but mostly the person, I am today if it weren’t for what I had to
face in the past 12 years. I’ve learned that music is truly my identity, and
that life lived without practicing your passion is a life filled with unanswered
questions. But mostly, I’ve learned that we all are pure spirit, joyful, perfect
beings, so we all have the ability to get in touch with our divine self and,
while operating from that standpoint, call others toward the fulfillment of
their existence by inspiring them to reach for their dreams. ”
Angelica is the composer, author and producer of the music CD, and its
accompanying book, Remember Who You Are. The music style is pop/adult
contemporary, embellished with a classical, orchestral embroidery of sounds. The
book Remember Who You Are encompasses the inspirational stories from which
Angelica’s songs were born. Some call her “the singing inspirational speaker”;
some call her “The Secret on music.” If you watch her perform, you will most
likely have your own unique experience, as Angelica has the capacity to reach
many levels of awareness, making her audience feel unanimously inspired.
