Lisa Tucker was raised in Anaheim,
California. Her parents are Stanley, who is of African-American
descent and Eleanor, who is of Belizean descent. She has two
older brothers: Billy and Stanley, Jr.; and a cousin, Tiffany.
She starred as "Young Nala" in the Los Angeles production of
Disney's The Lion King when she was 10 years old. At 13
years old, Lisa Tucker successfully auditioned for Star
Search, eventually making it to the finals. She became the
runner up to Tiffany Evans. She has performed at numerous city
events in Anaheim such as the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast and Flag
Day events. Lisa Tucker was a senior at John F. Kennedy
High School in La Palma during her run on Idol. She
attended classes with Paris Bennett and Kevin Covais, returning
to Kennedy after her elimination. The following June she
graduated in the class of 2006 at Kennedy. Lisa Tucker will
attend California State University, Fullerton for her Bachelor's
of Health Sciences (B.H.Sc.) degree starting in the fall of
2006.

In 2005, Lisa Tucker auditioned for the fifth
season of American Idol in Denver, Colorado with a song
she also sang on Star Search, "One Moment In Time" by
Whitney Houston. Judge Simon Cowell said she was the best 16
year-old to ever audition for the show. Later, the judges made a
unanimous decision to put her through to the season's final 24.
On the March 15, 2006 results show, Lisa
Tucker was in the bottom 3 along with Melissa McGhee and Ace
Young but was not eliminated and returned the following week.
Lisa Tucker was in the bottom 3 again along with Kevin Covais
and Bucky Covington on March 22, but returned again. She was
finally eliminated on March 29, 2006, after being in the bottom
three with Katharine McPhee and Ace Young.
