In 1999 the city of
Dallas made it's opening bid for the 2012 Olympics. The event took place
at the Hall Of State in Fair Park. This was the kick off party and Mayor
Ron Kirk wanted the city's best performers. The line up consisted of the
Texas Olympians from past Olympics, SIX Mayors from surrounding cities,
a 1200 voice choir, a 100 piece symphony orchestra, a $10,000 special
effects and fireworks display from the rooftop of the Hall Of State
building. And one party band...

In 1998, Fort Worth,
prepared for the GRAND OPENING GALA of the multi million dollar BASS
PERFORMING ARTS HALL, they wanted to have a christening party for the
2,000 plus men and women who actually raised the glorious hall. They had
to pick one group to be the first to perform on this magnificent new
stage. They're choice?
