At age nine, Sarah sang on the Blue Jays album Salute To The
Champions (Sony Music) that achieved gold record status. Her other
accomplishments include being the only Canadian born singer to win first place
at three European song festivals namely: The Children's Song Festival (1990),
14th Gala International Small Singers (1992) sponsored by Unicef, and Festival
de Jovem (2000) where she sang the winning song before a viewing audience of
over 35 million people. She is also the recipient of The Arts Acclaim Award
given for musical excellence.
Sarah graces stages in America, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean. She has
performed at Paramount's Canada Wonderland theme park and headlined several
times at Stage West Theatre - Home of The Stars. She has sung at events in
arenas such as Copps Coliseum and entertained at the yearly Summerfest event
sponsored by CIRV-FM 88.9 and Labatts Brewery, which attracts over 15,000
people.
Sarah and her manager/producer, Evanson Chung, created a fully orchestrated pops
concert with a repertoire of pop, standards, jazz and Broadway which she
performs with symphonies to capacity audiences. A few of the distinguished
orchestras she has performed with include The Porto Philharmonic Orchestra in
Europe, The Mississauga Philharmonic Orchestra in Canada and The Encore Symphony
Orchestra in North America.
Although she is frequently described as a pop ballad singer, her repertoire
includes pop, light jazz, Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish music along with
R&B, soft rock, Broadway and standards. Both her recordings and repertoire
display the depth and diversity of her talent.
Sarah Pacheco is a communicator with passion, style and excitement. Whether
singing in English, Spanish or Portuguese, she sings with conviction.
Corporations like Toastmasters, Sol Portugues Newspaper and Wal-Mart the world's
largest retail and marketing giant have hired her to perform at several of their
conventions. Wal-Mart also invited her to sing at their 2005 Walk For Miracles
that was televised on CFTO-TV to over 3 million people and raised $1.6 million
for The Sick Kids Foundation.
Several of her Portuguese language songs have received airplay in the Portuguese
speaking world. She has performed in Portugal to audiences including Penich's
Seaside Festival to over 50,000 people.
Sarah Pacheco is a contemporary pop singer who sings pop, standards, jazz, and
Broadway. She is continuing the music tradition of superstars such as Johnny
Mathis, Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, and Maureen McGovern whose careers and
repertoire are largely made up of singing ballads and songs from the Great
American Songbook.
