Don Henley's solo career was the most commercially and artistically successful
of all the Eagles.
Almost immediately after the group split, Don Henley got hard to work and rolled
out hit after hit. Don Henley released I Can't Stand Still, which went gold with the help of the
popular single, "Dirty Laundry."
Building the Perfect Beast followed in 1984 and contained the Top 10 Hits
"Boys of Summer" and "All She Wants to Do is Dance." "Sunset Grill" and "Not Enough Love in the World"
also appeared in the Top 40, securing a spot on the charts for Don Henley for well over a year. Don
Henley's commercial success continued with his third release, End of the Innocence (1989). The album
was critically acclaimed for singles like "New York Minute," "The End of the Innocence," "The Heart of
the Matter" and "The Last Worthless Evening."
Don Henley rejoined the Eagles for their 1994 reunion tour and appeared on MTV's
"Unplugged." Their live album Hell Freezes Over was a major success, selling more than five million
copies. The name of the album implied that the Eagles would only reunite if "Hell Freezes Over". Don
Henley resumed his solo career in 1995, and now continues to do countless private and corporate shows.
