"The Beach Boys are a great band with a great legacy. With this new group, we're hoping to give the public the full spectrum of Beach Boys music, as well as all of the 'party band songs.'" - Al Jardine The Beach Boys remain one of America's best loved and most revered bands. The groundbreaking group's impact on rock and roll is virtually unparalleled and its revolutionary approach to songwriting, harmonies and melody forever changed the sound of American music, influencing bands to this day. Under the leadership of original Beach Boy Al Jardine (the writer and singer of Help Me Rhonda, among others), a new, exciting incarnation of the Beach Boys has come together. The Beach Boys tour has been dubbed the " Family and Friends" tour, which includes multi-generations of Beach Boys for the last 10 years (guitars and high harmony vocals), and Adam (keyboards & vocals); Carnie and Wendy Wilson of Wilson Phillips fame and daughters of Brian ( vocals); and Carl Benton Wilson, son of Dennis (percussion). The "friends" portion of the group includes Darryl "The Captain" Dragon (The Captain in Captain & Tennille); Owen Elliot (daughter of the legendary Mama Cass of The Mamas And The Papas); long-time Beach boys band members Ed Carter (bass); Richie Cannata (saxophone); and the one-and-only Billy Hinsche (multiple instruments). In addition to the Beach Boys' well known surf and party songs, their concert also includes some solo material from each of the members - The Jardines, Wilson Phillips, and Darryl Dragon's Captain & Tennille classics. " We bring so much more to the Beach Boys music when we go out as a family," Al says.
