This New York-based dance and show band is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the America's most energetic and dynamic bands available for corporate events. Led by James Brown's former drummer, T-Funk Alston, and featuring his wife, lead singer Lois Alston, the band also includes a female and male vocalist and a lineup of world class musicians on keyboards, bass guitar, lead guitar, percussion, saxophone, trumpet & trombone. Musicians in Eturnity Band have toured and recorded with Kool and the Gang, Freddie Jackson, Lionel Hampton and Chaka Khan among others.
Eturnity never fails to get audiences on their feet with their energetic versions of classic songs from the genres of funk, rhythm & blues, disco, Motown and rock n' roll. A typical set, which can run for over 100 minutes, includes "I Wish" (Stevie Wonder), "I Feel Good" (James Brown), "Respect" (Aretha Franklin), "I Will Survive" (Gloria Gaynor), "Get Down On It" (Kool and the Gang) and "Shining Star" (Earth, Wind & Fire). The band also plays other musical styles including swing, jazz, reggae and ballads. Unlike most dance bands, Eturnity actually puts on a show that offers audiences the chance to participate in the fun. Beginning with choreographed dance moves on the stage, the show¹s infectious energy invariably spreads onto the dance floor with vocalists leading dances and conga lines and horn players performing solos while spinning on their backs or being passed overhead by the dancing audience. On some nights, audience members even end up onstage as backup singers, percussionists or dancers. In addition to highly successful corporate engagements for Lucent Technologies, Goldman, Sachs & Co., MetLife, American Express, Salomon Smith Barney and Revlon, the band performed for the Time Magazine 75th Anniversary at Radio City Music Hall for such distinguished guests as President and Mrs. Clinton, director Steven Speilberg, Sharon Stone and Microsoft CEO Bill Gates. The band performed at the Millennium New Year's Eve celebration at the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas and in Italy for a dancing audience that included Steven Speilberg, Jesse Jackson and Quincy Jones.
