The nation first heard of The Lettermen early in 1958 when their name appeared on the marquee of the Desert Inn Resort in Las Vegas, playing in the revue, The Newcomers of 1928, in the main showroom.
Tony Butala, Mike Barnett and Talmadge Russell had put together an astounding conglomeration of talent. Although they have had their share of recording success, The Lettermen pride themselves on their live performances.
For over 35 years this popular singing trio has been captivating audiences at public events, private conventions and many special charities such as The American Lupus Society for which they are the national spokespersons.
Adept at all musical styles, the universal appeal of The Lettermen and their sound has resulted in successful world tours--Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico, France, South America, Canada and even Saudi Arabia. The Lettermen have appeared in most of the major sports arenas in the United States with their touching a cappella rendition of the national anthem. This is a classic act that should not be missed.
