The Bryan G. Show is a high energy comedy event like no
other. His amazing musical talent combined with his dead on vocal impressions of
James Taylor, The Clash, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., Earth Wind & Fire,
Randy Travis, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Chris Isaac, Prince, The Who, Barry
Manilow and many more, never fail to energize and delight audiences of all ages.
Shows up to ninety minutes in length fly by as Mr. G. blazes his way through
hilarious song parodies, heartfelt tributes to musical legends, and fresh comedy
routines, all the while accompanying himself on violin, guitar, and grand piano.
Accompanied by a nine piece orchestra or all on his own using support tracks,
one thing is certain, The Bryan G. Show always ends with the audience on its
feet.
At age 13 Bryan was already an accomplished violinist and pianist, but he grew
tired of the constant practicing and upon entering high school stopped playing
the instruments altogether. In the early 90's he began working as a stand-up
comedian in his home state of Oklahoma and soon at clubs around the country. He
did some impressions but had yet to add the music element that is now the
hallmark of his act.
In 1996, while on a short hiatus from the comedy circuit, Bryan took a staff
position onboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Nordic Empress. Calling bingo
one day and using some of his impressions as comedy relief, he caught the ear of
comedian, Sean Haines. The two became fast friends and began collaborating on a
new act for Bryan, incorporating his many musical and vocal skills into the mix.
Within weeks he was back onstage receiving rave reviews from the ship's
passengers and staff alike. He was soon offered a much sought after contract as
an opening act in Royal Caribbean's prestigious headliner program, but a family
tragedy forced him to turn down the job. Feeling defeated and depressed, Bryan
gave up performing altogether and began driving a delivery truck and selling
insurance to support his family. Seven years later, following a catch-up phone
call to Sean Haines, the friends decided to take one more shot at building a
show around Bryan's unique abilities. Long story short, Bryan G. is back, as is
his love for the music he once left behind!
