 Bill Clement - Former National Hockey League All-Star
Bill Clement, who played 11 years in the NHL with Philadelphia, Washington, and
Calgary, is a game analyst for ESPN's extensive schedule of National Hockey
Night telecasts. He also works select games on ESPN2 and in 2000 became the lead
analyst for ABC Sports' NHL telecasts. In 1999, he became the official ESPN
Radio NHL reporter, making weekly appearances on the Morning Show, the Dan
Patrick Show, the Tony Kornheiser Show and Gameday. Clement has worked every
Stanley Cup Finals telecast since 1986. In 1992-93, Bill Clement served as
ESPN's NHL studio analyst. He first served as ESPN's NHL game analyst from 1986
to 1988. From 1988 to 1992, he was the analyst for Philadelphia Flyers games on
PRISM and during the Stanley Cup Finals for SportsChannel America. He also
worked Flyers local over-the-air telecasts (WGBS-TV from 1988-91 and WPHL-TV
1991-92).
He was an ice-level reporter for NBC's coverage of the NHL
All-Star Games in 1992 and '93. Clement served as an analyst for TNT at the 1992
Winter Olympics and as the studio analyst for the 1991 Canada Cup on CTV
(Canada). He received the 1992 CableACE Award for his work in the playoffs and
in a 1996 reader survey conducted by The Hockey News was voted "Favorite
National TV Personality." Clement, who served as an analyst for select MSG
telecasts of New Jersey Devils games, was a guest commentator on USA Network's
NHL telecasts during his playing career.
In early 1990, Clement entered the world of
motivational speaking and is now making corporate presentations on a national
basis. He is also a trained actor and model who has appeared in more than 250
television advertisements, including ones for Chevrolet, Deep Woods Off, Hardees,
and NAPA. Clement also appeared in the ABC soap opera All My Children in July
1986.
