Dan Clark is the primary contributing author to the New York Times Best-Selling series, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and author of his own book, Little Souls--Best Night Out With Dad. In addition, he is the author of ten highly acclaimed books including Puppies for Sale, recently made into a motion picture filmed at Paramount Studios starring Jack Lemmon & Jesse James. Clark attended the University of Utah on a full athletic scholarship, majoring in Business, Finance, and Psychology. As an award-winning athlete, he was invited to tryout with the Kansas City Royals and was projected by NFL scouts to be a number one draft pick for the 1980 Super Bowl Champion Oakland Raiders. His athletic career was cut short by a paralyzing injury, only to have his athletic dreams go unfulfilled. After being told that he would never recover, Clark spent two years of agonizing self-examination and improvised therapy, but managed to reach a full recovery. Having to deal with the emotional strain of giving up his life dream and the identity that he had grown up with, it was time for him to find a new game. In 1982, Clark found that new game when he was sponsored by Zig Ziglar into the National Speakers Association and soon received NSA's highest earned designation, CSP--Certified Speaking Professional. He also founded Clark Success Systems which manages Clark Consulting, Sunrise Publishing, DMC Records, and the International Leadership Group, Clark's non-profit children's foundation. Since then, Clark has performed stand-up comedy on the famous stages of Yuk Yuks, The Comedy Store, Ice House, and The Comic Strip. He is also a songwriter/recording artist of four albums, and has been the opening act for "Sting." Clark has spoken to over 2.5 million people in all 50 states, throughout Canada, and in 15 other countries in Europe, Asia, and the former Soviet Union. Clark's incredible story and million dollar business has been featured on over 300 national radio and television programs and in Esteem and Entrepreneur magazines. An incredible expert on human potential, Clark speaks with sensitivity, humor, and candor. His program focuses on helping people internally excavate what matters most, and helping them maximize personal potential in order to increase the profitability of business.
