Dr. Joan Borysenko is a medical scientist and licensed
psychologist. She received her doctorate from Harvard Medical School, where she
also completed three post-doctoral fellowships in experimental pathology. She is
the co-founder and former director of the Mind/Body Clinic at Beth
Israel/Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and a former instructor in Medicine at
Harvard Medical School.
A pioneer in integrative medicine, her work encompasses
mind/body medicine, women's health, and spirituality. Dr. Joan Borysenko has a
clear personal vision--to bring science, psychology, and spirituality together
in the service of healing. Since 1988, she has been president of Mind/Body
Health Sciences, providing lectures, workshops, and consultations for personal
growth centers, professional societies, hospitals, schools, religious
organizations, and businesses worldwide.

spirituality, and four audiocassette programs. Her book Minding the Body,
