She is the author of Rational Exuberance, How Generation X is Creating a New American Economy (Penguin Putnam: 1999) and her newest book, We've Got Issues: The Get-Real, No B.S., Guilt-Free Guide to What Really Matters . Ms. Bagby has been a commentator on economics and politics for CNN in New York and was a financial analyst for Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter & Company. Ms. Bagby is the author of The Annual Report of the United States of America, a yearly financial, political, and social account of the state of the nation modeled after a corporation's annual report. Speaking on Generation X, the economy, and politics, Ms. Bagby has made numerous national television appearances including: CNN's Larry King Live, NBC's Nightly News with Tom Brokaw; and ABC's Good Morning America. She has also testified before the Senate Finance Committee, the Medicare Commission, and the Senate Banking Committee on issues facing Generation X. Ms. Bagby's education includes Harvard College (magna cum laude, economics) and Columbia Law School .
