 In her 25 seasons on and off-broadway, Tovah Feldshuh is one of New York 's most beloved and respected actresses, and remains the critic's darling. This season alone, she starred in the title role of "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", completed 30 engagements of her one woman show, "Tovah: Out of her Mind!", and completed and starred in her first long form theatrical piece, "Tallulah Hallelujah!" which finished a five-week sold out engagement in Hartford and has gone on to tremendous success in New York. Ms. Feldshuh played Lilian in the acclaimed Miramax film "A Walk on the Moon", filmed three independent features and continues to appear on "Law and Order", as attorney Danielle Melnick. She was chosen as The Boston Globe's " Boston 's Concert/Cabaret Artist of the year" and as "Best Actress" for her work in "Tallulah Hallelujah!" by the Connecticut Critics Association. Within 18 months of her arrival in New York , she starred in the play YENTL. Other New York credits include the title roles in the Roundabout Theatre's SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER and MISTRESS OF THE INN, BAM's THREE SISTERS, and roles on Broadway in RODGERS AND HART, and DREYFUS IN REHEARSAL. She starred off-Broadway as Tallulah Bankhead in a piece she wrote entitled TALLULAH HALLELUJAH! which ran four months at the Douglas Fairbanks Theater. TALLULAH HALLELUJAH! was chosen as one of the ten Best Plays of the Year by USA Today, and Miss Feldshuh received the Best Actress Award from the Connecticut Critics Circle and a nomination for Best Solo Performance from New York 's Outer Critic's Circle. For her television work, Ms. Feldshuh received the Emmy nomination for her electrifying performance as Helena , the Czech freedom fighter, in the NBC miniseries HOLOCAUST. She has starred opposite Tommy Lee Jones in THE AMAZING HOWARD HUGHES, James Woods in CITIZEN COHN, and Bill Cosby on THE COSBY MYSTERIES and THE COSBY SHOW, among many others. She has a recurring role as Danielle Melnick on LAW AND ORDER and played Dr. Bethany Rose on AS THE WORLD TURNS for over a year. Her films include: A WALK ON THE MOON, for which she received rave reviews, and KISSING JESSICA STEIN , HAPPY ACCIDENTS with Marisa Tomei, FRIENDS AND FAMILY, 3 LITTLE WOLFFS, and OLD LOVE which was selected for the Venice Film Festival. She also appeared in THE CORRUPTOR, NUNZIO, CHEAPER TO KEEP HER, DANIEL, BREWSTER'S MILLIONS, THE IDOLMAKER, THE BLUE IGUANA, A DAY IN OCTOBER, and CHARLIE HOBOKEN.
