Tal Bachman grew up in a musical family (hi father is Randy Bachman from The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive), and is now an internationally recognized singer-songwriter in his own right. His self-titled debut CD earned rave reviews, including a glowing three star review in Rolling Stone Magazine. The debut single, "She's So High", was an international smash hit, winning Tal a BMI award for on e of the biggest radio songs of the year, and a Juno award for "Song of the Year". He won an additional Juno for "Best Producer" for the CD itself. Tal has performed around the world, both alone and with artists as diverse as Bryan Adams, Smashmouth, and The Barenaked Ladies. He has appeared on dozens of television show, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", "Melrose Place", and the American Music Awards. His songs have been featured as soundtrack pieces in a number of major motion pictures including "Here on Earth" and "Loser", and have been used as soundtrack pieces such as "NYPD Blue", "Bewitched", and "Dawson's Creek". Tal cites his biggest thrill, however, as being parodied by Will Ferrell on the Saturday Night Live. Tal is currently working on his follow-up CD, which should be ready for release July 2003.
