illusions, Austin creates more than a show, he creates a mood dark, sexy and

Bursting onto the scene a few years ago, Austin Brooks fused the aggressive
genre of industrial music with bold new illusions. The show "Illusion Concert"
burned through the Chicago club scene taking no prisoners. Austin's dark and
provocative routines showed only the beginning of what was to come. The buzz
spread and Austin was well on his way to becoming one of the most sought after
club acts in the Midwest.
Brooks created his next show "All Magicians Are Not created Equal" and embarked
on a small tour that would eventually turn into a two year 42 state stint on the
road. Assaulting every city he entered with an onslaught of music, light shows
and controversy, I he quickly built a following in every city he breeched. While
on the road Austin wrote his first book "Making Magic Art." It sold out its
first printing in three proclaimed by it's readers as the bible for alternative
thinking in magic.
Austin's next creation was "Magic Will Never Be The Same." This show featured
his amazing sleight of hand and demonstrated Brooks had mastered even the most
difficult style of magic. After another two years on the road Austin moved to
Los Angeles where he currently lives. While pursuing his magic career, he had
the opportunity to produce a television pilot and fell in love with the creative
interface and potential of moving images expressing his messages.
With the success of the television pilot Austin launched a production company
that specialized in artist development and producing media packages for the
entertainment companies. Though Austin was still performing in local venues he
wanted to create a new kind of magic show. A show he envisioned since he began
performing. During his free time Austin wrote this high concept magic show and
called it "The Manipulator." He booked it at the Santa Monica Pier on Halloween
and since this was all new material he did not know how people would react.
Austin was shocked by the reaction. Not only top pros in the industry loved it,
but more importantly his audience embraced his new style of magic. From that
success, Brooks launched a full on production. His vision was to take the cool
modern attitude of "The Manipulator" and expand it to a full large scale show.
This time around however, Austin had the production experience that would allow
him to build the show of his dreams. The Manipulator 2.0 is a masterpiece of
thought, performance and design woven together with sexy dancers, modern music
and cutting edge illusions. The show's vibe is that of a rock concert instead of
your typical magic show.
