Gregg Rolie

Gregg Rolie is responsible for co-founding two phenomenally popular supergroups, SANTANA and JOURNEY. In 1998, the world-class keyboardist-vocalist-producer was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame as part of the original Santana band. In addition to launching – along with Carlos Santana – the now legendary act, Gregg Rolie’s singing talents will forever be immortalized by his unforgettable lead vocals on classic Santana great hits including “Black Magic Woman”, Evil Ways” and “Oye Como Va”. Gregg Rolie was driven to use all of his writing and performing talents on this new record. "I wanted to create something that was on the one hand, totally organic and relevant to my past, and on the other hand, in touch with current musical tastes". Internationally known for his work in Santana as its Co-Founder, Lead Singer, keyboards, writer and co-producer of the first (4) albums, Gregg was there in person to witness one of the most amazing career starts ever. "We (Santana) played Woodstock just before the release date of our first album in 1969. The event became a movie and the mother of all videos. Our band sky rocketed into International status". Rolie went on to Co-Found the Super Group Journey in 1972-3, where he was the Lead (and Co-lead) singer, Keyboards, writer and co-producer of its first (7) albums. In the late eighties, Gregg co-founded a new group called The Storm. The Storm released its self titled album in 1992 which yielded the single "I’ve Got A lot to Learn About Love", propelling the group to number 13 on the Billboard top 100 and a BMI Top 100 Most Airplay award in 1993. A second album followed in 1996 entitled "Eye Of The Storm". In 2005, Gregg Rolie continues to record and tour with his band.
