Steve Park is making his mark in the world of racing. Steve Park is one of the brightest new stars to hit the track in recent years, 2000 was a breakout season for Park in the #1 Pennzoil Chevrolet fielded by Dale Earnhardt Inc. Steve Park scored his first Winston Cup victory and had his best finish ever (11th in the point standings). He carried the momentum into 2001 with a victory at the 2nd race of the season in Rockingham – a memorable victory as it succeeded the previous week’s tragic death of his team owner and mentor Dale Earnhardt.

His Winston Cup career has been marked with jagged peaks and valleys. Sidelined by a serious injury in 1998, Park bounced back and went on to win the Winston Open. Then in August 2000, he broke into victory lane at his "home track," Watkins Glen International. After dropping into the 20s in the point standings early in the season, he rebounded to challenge for a top-10 spot with a superb second half of the year.

In September 2001, off to a great start and maintaining consistency he was 8th in the overall points standings when he suffered a moderate concussion during an unusual accident in Darlington, SC. Steve was the model of persistence and hard work as he recovered from his injuries and prepared for the next season.

In early 2004, Park was named to drive the Orleans Dodge in the Craftsman Truck Series.

When not at the track, Park enjoys riding motorcycles, boating and golf. Steve Park is a captivating newcomer on the racing scene.
