UV was originally formed "Ultraviolet" in early 2005 by Eddie Steklasa who quickly embarked on a search of qualified band members. Being ardent U2 fans and of Music in general made their search all the more challenging. After many quality players were interviewed and a few organizational changes, UV is proud to present what many critics are quickly calling "the U2 fans' choice".

Gabrielvox is probably the most veteran U2 fan in the band and his resemblance to Bono physically, vocally and in passion and connection with the audience leaves the crowd breathless. Regularly stopped in public and at U2 shows where fans do a double-take, he is the closest thing to the real thing in the U2 tribute scene. Gabrielvox says:"U2 has been my favorite band since 1981. There are no shortcuts or tricks, we either play the music right or not at all. Anything less would be an insult to the number one band in the world." Needless to say, Gabrielvox is a certified Super Fan and it shows in the emotion and energy he puts into every UV performance.

Eddie, aka "Edgy", has already amassed an impressive arsenal of the same gear, effects and guitars that The Edge has used throughout U2's history, and with a resemblance to his U2 counterpart that is unrivalled worldwide, he pours himself into the role of the musical genius behind U2 confidently and realistically. "I grew up on The Edge and U2 without a doubt is the band that drew me to live music", says Edgy. He forms the crucial piece of the Bono-Edge dynamic duo onstage.

Enter Joe Clements, a top notch bassist hailing all the way form New York. Joe possesses that "Mr. Cool" element backed by professionalism and ability to play the Adam Clayton bass colors that others miss. With solid gear that emulates the boom and a resemblance to his U2 counterpart, he makes a strong piece of the UV rhythm section. Onstage, Joe recreates the vibes and the trademart U2 bass/drums communication that ensures that the band is kept grounded when it starts to soar.

The latest addition to the band is Marcus Suarez, as Larry Mullen Jr. He is also the sole native Floridian, born and raised in West Palm Beach! His parallels to his U2 counterpart are uncanny in more ways than one. Not only does he play on the same white drum kit Larry is known to favour, he just also happens to be the youngest member of UV and possesses similar boyish good looks and what Edgey dubs "the Larry touch" on the skins. But his looks belie his experience, which includes 5 years with SoFla rock outfit Deepset and also playing alongside the likes of The Spin Doctors, Judas Priest, Sammy Hagar, and The New Doors. He counts as influences The Police, Rush, Led Zeppelin and of course, U2!
